The bridesmaid season is well underway. I had the pleasure of hosting Suji's bridal shower at my home and it was a day filled with flowers, friends, gifts, laughter, yummy food and lots of rosé. Here are a few snaps from the shower!
This might be my favorite cocktail concept I've ever created. I had an idea of using a gradient effect using rosé and a mixture so that guests could choose their drink based on their alcohol preference. We started by filling a few glasses with rosé so that the first few were completely full, then decreased the amount as we went down the line. The few glasses at the end were left empty so that those drinks could be filled with juice and no alcohol.
After the rosé we added sparkling pomegranate juice bit by bit so that as we went down the line it created an ombré effect. It was tasty and really effective - aesthetically pleasing and practical!
If I do this concept again I would choose a lighter colored juice than the sparkling pomegranate juice. I think 2-3 shades darker than the shade of the rosé would create a more subtle and beautiful effect, but I'm still happy with how it turned out and it was great for the guests!
All of the small flower arrangements were given to the guests at the end of the shower as party favors.
